     At Belac Solar Energy Ltd, we recently completed a solar-powered ice block freezer installation designed to deliver reliable 24/7 operation for commercial use.

This project was engineered to ensure uninterrupted ice production, day and night, while reducing dependence on fuel generators and unstable grid power.

🔧 System Configuration

The system was carefully sized based on the freezer’s energy demand and local weather conditions:

Freezer:

  • 200 litres capacity, capable of producing ice blocks within 8 hours

Solar Panels:

  •  3 units of 550 W high-efficiency solar panels

Battery Storage:

  • 2.5 kWh lithium (LiFePO₄) battery for night-time operation

Inverter System:

  • 3 kVA pure sine wave inverter to handle compressor startup and continuous operation

How the System Works

  • During the day, the freezer runs directly from solar power
  • Excess solar energy charges the lithium battery
  • At night or during low sunlight, the battery seamlessly powers the freezer
  • The system is optimized for energy efficiency and long battery life
